Let us introduce ourselves. We are Vicki and John Lawshe,
and we are a dog-loving family of four living in rural Central
Florida. Osteen is approximately halfway between Orlando and
Daytona Beach - close to all the fun, but far enough to be lovely,
quiet and rural.
My husband, John, groomed and showed small-breed dogs for
many years in the 70s and early 80s. Now that our kids are
almost grown, he wants to get back into the sport. Dachshunds
are our love. We own five miniature smooth piebalds: Angel,
Athena (Tina), Albert (Pete), Corazon (Cora) and Camille
(Millie), and Lily, our wirehair. Angel has blessed us with two
lovely litters (Pete and Tina are her "children"). Tina had her
first litter in November 2006 and a second in May 2007. She's
now taking a year off to rest.
Our main interest (beside loving these dogs incredibly) is
raising lovely smooth mini piebalds, both show and pet quality.
Of course, we'd love to keep them all, but 11 acres only goes so
far - even with little dogs!
We had two litters in 2006, and one in 2007. We don't believe in
breeding our dogs excessively, but are always striving to
enhance the breed. Our next litter(s) should arrive in mid- to
late 2008.
Currently, we are raising pups to share locally (basically,
anywhere in Florida); however, we will entertain all inquiries.
There would be additional charges to the price of the pup which
would include any extra health certificates, carrier, and shipping
fees.
